If the quilt and the picture below look remarkably alike, it's because the quilt is the picture! Joan used a photo transfer technique to print the picture onto fabric and then embellished it to create this fun and beautiful quilt. The picture was taken in the tiny village of Colonnata, above Carrara in the mountains of Tuscany. Carrara is famous for its marble used by Michaelangelo and DaVinci among others. It is also noted throughout Italy for its 'Lardo di Colonnata', a marinated and spiced pork belly brined in marble vats. It is only $98 (the quilt, not the pork belly!).
