Custom Quilts

Clients send photographs of beautiful views that mean something special to them. It might be a favorite vacation memory, a view from their home, a close-up photo of their garden, or any view that inspires them. Joan then reviews options with them to ensure that the composition of the view will make a pleasing quilt. While not meant to be an exact replica of the photograph, the quilts will be an interpretation in fabric that will be clearly recognizable as the view in the photograph.

The custom-made quilted wall hangings can be any size. The costs vary depending on the size of the quilt and how complex the view is. Prices to date have ranged between $150 and $1500. The price is based on the artist’s costs for materials and postage plus $20 per hour. Each quilt can take up to 2 weeks to make, so delivery times will vary depending on the number of quilts already commissioned at the time of your order.
