This view is from the deck of a home that my client's friends stayed at in Lake Eden. Because she wanted the view to be panoramic, I actually made the quilt from a composite of three photos that she provided. I chose the two that comprised the majority of the quilt to show above. The client took the pictures in winter, but wanted the quilt to reflect a summer view - a great example of how I can create any look desired by using the right fabrics! It turned out to be helpful to design the quilt in this way because none of the foliage was there to block the shape of the mountains, the point jutting into the lake or the trees' structures. She wanted the deck to be included in the view which I was happy to do because I love having something in the foreground to give perspective to the finished quilt. I love how this quilted view came out, and from all reports so did my client's friends when they received this charming wall hanging as a Christmas gift.
