Okay, I'm not the first one to think of making a quilt of flowers. Classic designs are classic for a reason though, they're great! The flowers I've chosen are native to Vermont and are seen in abundance on the walks that I take right here in Charlotte. I've chosen Wild Iris that pop up in swampy areas, Trillium that grow in wooded areas, and Black-eyed Susans that thrive in open fields. They're a good example of how I make my quilts -- I like to cut simple, basic shapes out of fabric and then use thin permanent pens and thicker fabric markers to bring greater detail to each piece. It's a combination of quilting and drawing that is part of every quilt I make. This charming little quilt can be yours for only $89.
